Hitmen QB Icon only needed a mere 14  completions to put up his 5 touchdowns, 2 of which were hauled in by Charles who lead all receivers in the game with 110 yards on his 3 grabs ... the defense did the rest as Franklin intercepted 2 passes from the recently anointed league MVP Mahdi, who would be harassed and hounded all day as the all-star pass-rushing tandem of Superbowl and Sickwiit got to him twice each ... Josh added another giving the defense 5 sacks on the day ... Hitmen's other scores were grabbed by ChinoTD Johny and Franklin ...  while DefSkwad's offensive stars Jones and Jeff were pretty much held in check (just 85 yds/ 0 td's between them) ,  Rogers made the most out of his 3 receptions, scoring 3 td's and accounting for all of the teams 18 points while Gerald produced headaches for the Hitmen's blocking scheme, as he broke through for 4 sacks on the day ... but in the end, it came down to the Hitmens defense eliminating DefSkwads big play - only one play went for more than 20 yards, a 25 yarder - and not making any costly mistakes on offense ... now they've earned their invite to dance at the Sweet 16 Party next Sunday ...
Just 3 days after a ghost-writer questioned whether he was worthy of being named an all-star receiver this season, Fastlife might have silenced the critics with his 3 td- catch performance ... Mag B had one of those Mag B days, connecting on 25 of 39 for 521 and 7 scores while putting in double-duty and collecting a sack and a goal-line interception on defense ... Birdman (110 yds) and Jiggy (70 yds) each scored ... and the game was close through-out, but an Energy (7-131-2) rumble- hop-and-spin 45 yard touchdown jaunt seemed to be a momentum-swinger that the Pack couldn't rebound from ... the game show-cased why Energy/Truck and Chewy/Bossman are considered the top tight-end tandems in the league as all four provided outstanding pass protection ... the Pack moved the ball well as Papi threw for 445 yards (including 170 and 2 td's to Phenom) and he added another 125 on the ground, but for the 2nd straight week, the defense could not come up with that much needed turn-over ... so on we go ... the saga continues ... TMH and Hitmen Part IV  in SB16 ... strictly for fun and that big-bulky dust-collecting superbowl trophy we force the winners to take home with them ... sff:)
